User Guide

You must have an operational Roon Server on your network in order for our products to work.
Ethernet Connection

Definitely the preferred method

  1. Connect to your network using a quality Ethernet cable

  2. Connect to your DAC or other S/PDIF device using a quality coaxial or TOSLINK cable

  3. Connect power by using the included micro USB DC power supply

  4. Using Roon on your PC or Mac, or Roon Remote on your iOS or Android device, configure your new Roon Endpoint.  You'll find it in the "Networked" section on the Audio tab of Settings, in Roon or Roon Remote.

WiFi Connection
  1. You will need an HDMI monitor or TV, and a USB keyboard and mouse.  Connect all three.

  2. Connect power by using the included micro USB DC power supply

  3. Turn on your display and configure WiFi on your Sonic device by clicking the "Network" icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  4. Connect to your DAC or other S/PDIF device using a quality coaxial or TOSLINK cable

  5. Using Roon on your PC or Mac, or Roon Remote on your iOS or Android device, configure your new Roon Endpoint.  You'll find it in the "Networked" section on the Audio tab of Settings, in Roon or Roon Remote.

Important Either Way

  1. Please use the coaxial or TOSLINK S/PDIF audio outputs only; we do not provide support for using the 3.5mm headphone, HDMI, nor USB connections for audio.

  2. Both the coaxial and TOSLINK outputs are active simultaneously.

  3. Please use only the power supply we include.
